Maragang Hill Kundasang, Sabah claimed to be the highest hill in Malaysia with 2,232 metre above sea level. Located at Mesilou part of Kundasang, this area is managed by Mesilou Eco Tourism Association, a community of Kampung Mesilou whom provides guide services and perform maintenance on the route and deck on top of the hill.
Everyone can climb Maragang Hill regardless of age. This makes it one of the most visited place in Kundasang. Come alone, come many, everyone have an opportunity to be here. On good day (good weather), Mount Kinabalu will be visible – perfect as the background of your portrait shot here. To increase your chance on good visibility of Mount Kinabalu, try to get on the morning hike slot.
Not to worry though. The hike to the top of the hill (at distance around 1.5km) might take about 1 to 2 hours and there are toilets and rest area along the way. Simply say, this hill climb is beginner friendly, making it suitable for all your family members.

To climb Maragang Hill, you must be accompanied by a guide. It’s best to come here in a group, as one (1) guide will have a maximum of five (5) person under his/her guidance.
