Mesilou Cat Village: A Unique Feline Sanctuary Near Kundasang
Mesilou Cat Village is located about 500 meters from Desa Cattle Dairy Farm. From the entrance, visitors will need to drive for approximately 10 minutes along an unpaved road, which is still accessible by regular vehicles.
Affordable Tickets Supporting a Good Cause
Tickets are priced at RM 4.00 for adults and RM 3.00 for children. The proceeds from ticket sales go towards purchasing food, covering healthcare expenses, and renovating the cats’ living spaces.
Rescue and Rehabilitation of Stray Cats
The cats at Mesilou Cat Village are primarily rescued strays from various towns across Sabah, including Sandakan, Tuaran, Inanam, and the Kundasang area itself. Many were found abandoned and in poor health, while others were surrendered by the owner’s close acquaintances who could no longer care for them.
Interactive Experience with Furry Friends
Visitors can enjoy petting and cuddling a variety of cat breeds, offering a therapeutic experience and a chance to interact with these rescued felines. The village operates daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
